Renee Michele Splichal Larson will be ordained to the Ministry of Word and Sacrament on Monday, August 2, 2010 at 7:00 pm at St. Paul Lutheran Church. 
A meal will be served from 5:30pm until 6:45pm in the church Fellowship Hall. Everyone is invited to the meal and the ordination.

The church youth who went to Chicago on a youth service trip will be talking about their experiences during worship on July 25th. They have lots of great things to share with you. Please join us for worship on the 25th.

People who are interested in making diapers and blankets to send to Honduras with Mara are asked to meet at the church this Wednesday, July 21st at 9:00 a.m. Our Community friends are also invited. We won't turn down any help.

Bible School will be Thursday and Friday, August 5th and 6th from 9:00 - 3:30 at church. Our theme this year is "Baobab Blast" and we are going to "explore" four Bible stories during those two Bible School days. There will be storytelling, crafts, games, music and lunch will be provided. Bible School will be for children who were in kindergarten through 6th grade this past school year. Registrations have been mailed to all of our Sunday School families. Extra registration forms are on the table in the church entry. Cost will be $10 and registrations are due back to church by July 25th. We are looking forward to a great Bible School in August.

We have begun changing the landscaping in the front of the church. We have removed old plants, landscape timers and dirt. Now, we plan to add crosses, benches and new trees and shrubs. We are requesting Memorial Gifts to help pay for this project. There are three levels of gifts. There are five - $1,000 memorials; five- $500 memorials; and 50 - $100 memorial gifts. A Memorial Plaque listing all of the gifts will be included in the outdoor landscaping. There is a form for giving a Landscape Memorial Gift on the table in the church entry. If you would like to give a memorial, please fill out the form, put it in the Sunday offering with your gift or mail it to the church or bring it to the church office.
