The new church sanctuary lights are in and we are waiting for dimmer switches to complete the project. We are still in need of financial support to finish paying for the lights. Although all bills are not in we are estimating the remainder of the bills to be around $5,000. If you would like to donate to the church Light Fund, please use an envelope and mark it Light Fund or use the offering envelope and mark the Building Fund spot and that money will be used for the sanctuary light bills.

St. Paul Lutheran Church is a "Mission Partner" with Heart River Lutheran Church in Mandan. Heart River Lutheran Church has worship on the campus of the Youth Correctional Center in Mandan. Because of their ministry to the Youth Correctional Center and size limitations on the congregation because of that worship space, Heart River Lutheran Church must rely on financial support from other congregations in our Synod.

St. Paul's has some direct ties to Heart River Lutheran Church. Renee Splical Larson is the pastor there and Shera Nesheim, the granddaughter of Reuben and Wanyce Arndt is a diaconal minister at the church.

As a Mission Partner, we have committed to provide financial support ($2,500 per year) to Heart River Lutheran Church and we will plan yearly visits to Heart River to share in their ministry.

Several members from our congregation visited Heart River Lutheran last year. We would like to plan another visit to Heart River. If you would like to represent our congregation at Heart River Lutheran Church on a Sunday, please talk to Sue Hendrickson or call 463-2064. She is coordinating our visit.
