Bible School for this summer will be Wednesday and Thursday, May 23rd and 24th from 9:00 to 3:30 at the church. Our theme this year is "Splash in God's Word" and we are going to listen to four Bible stories that are related to water during those two Bible School days. There will be storytelling, crafts, games, music and lunch will be provided. Bible School will be for children who were in kindergarten through 6th grade this past school year. We are looking forward to a great Bible School this week.

There is a retirement celebration for Pastor Joel Sherer today at Augustana Lutheran Church in Underwood. Pastor Sherer was pastor at St. Paul's from 1977-1982. There will be an Open House from 1:00 - 3:00 with a short program at 1:30. More information is in a letter and invitation that is on the bulletin board in the Fellowship Hall. Everyone is invited.

We are in need of acolytes for the coming months. Acolytes light candles and receive empty communion glasses on communion Sundays. Acolytes need to be in fourth grade or older. A signup sheet is on the pastor's office door.

Our churches' 100th Anniversary will be May 8, 2013. We are looking for volunteers who would be willing to plan celebration activities for the anniversary. A few of the things we would plan to do would be a morning worship, noon meal, afternoon worship with former pastors and sons and daughters of the congregation as guests; mementos to purchase and an updated history. If you would be willing to be on an Anniversary Planning Committee please sign up on the church office door. When we have a committee in place we will schedule a first meeting.

May is "Mother the Camp" month. Please support our camp with suggested items that will be needed for a good camping season. Just put things on the table and someone will get everything to the camp. Checks and cash may be put in the container, making it easier for you, and then they can purchase what is needed most. Support is appreciated in any form.

Rummage Sale at St. Paul's July 13&14. Start saving your treasures to donate to our Rummage Sale between May 29 and July 12. Loree is looking for people that would be willing to help sort rummage sale items periodically in mid June to July 12. Let her know if you are interested. We also need big boxes for sorting things.

Benedictine Living Center and Garrison Memorial Hospital are co-sponsoring an informational session for the community entitled "Understanding Memory Loss." This program is being held at Benedictine Living Center on Monday, May 21st at 7:00 pm. There is no charge for attending. Everyone is welcome.
