We invite you to join us for worship at St. Paul Lutheran Church. We gather together as the family of God to reflect, worship, and rejuvenate. We worship at 9:45 on Sunday mornings, followed by an education hour at 11:00.
We are in need of Sunday School teachers for the fall. There is a signup sheet on a table in the church entry. It is by the large Bible School picture. Please consider helping us with teaching. If you have any questions, talk to Bernie Ellwein, Sue Hendrickson, Loree Jeffers or Pastor Hendrickson. + + + + + + + + + + + + We have begun changing the landscaping in the front of the church. We have removed old plants, landscape timers and dirt. Now, we plan to add crosses, benches and new trees and shrubs. We are requesting Memorial Gifts to help pay for this project. There are three levels of gifts. There are five - $1,000 memorials; five- $500 memorials; and 50 - $100 memorial gifts. A Memorial Plaque listing all of the gifts will be included in the outdoor landscaping. There is a form for giving a Landscape Memorial Gift on the table in the church entry. If you would like to give a memorial, please fill out the form, put it in the Sunday offering with your gift or mail it to the church or bring it to the church office. If you have any questions about the landscpaing project, please talk to Pastor Hendrickson. + + + + + + + + + + + + The Fall Women's Retreat at Camp of the Cross will be September 21st & 22nd. Registration forms are on the table in the church entry. Registrations are due at the Camp office by September 14th. + + + + + + + + + + + + Sunday School begins for the fall on Sunday, September 12th. Classes include children who are four years old through sixth grade. Sunday School begins at 11:00 and ends at noon each Sunday. We are again studying some great Bible stories this year and we are looking forward to a rewarding year. We hope to see all of our Sunday School students on the 12th. + + + + + + + + + + + + The LYO is serving a Spaghetti Dinner on Sunday, September 12th following morning worship. Free will donations will be received and will be used for youth activities throughout the year. The meal will be spaghetti, salad, garlic bread and beverages. We will serve past noon for those people who have children in Sunday School. We hope to see you at the Spaghetti Dinner on the 12th. + + + + + + + + + + + + The senior Choir begins practicing for the fall on Sunday, September 12th after worship. Please meet around 11:00 in the choir loft. Everyone is invited to sing in the choir this year. + + + + + + + + + + + + We are celebrating Harvest Sunday on Sunday, September 26th. Former Bishop Bob Lynne will be our guest speaker. There will be a pot luck dinner starting at 11:30 in the church Fellowship Hall. We will serve past noon for Sunday School families. We will have Harvest Decorations throughout the church. We are also going to have a Bake Sale and Produce Sale as a fundraiser for World Hunger. Please bring baked goods and produce to the church that Sunday morning and there will be a free will offering basket that will go to the support World Hunger. Plan to join us to welcome Pastor Bob Lynne and to give thanks to God on Harvest Sunday during worship and the pot luck on September 26th. + + + + + + + + + + + +
